Alison Sclater is NYLAG’s Director of Pro Bono. In this capacity, Ms. Sclater coordinates the recruitment of volunteer attorneys from law firms and corporate legal departments to represent NYLAG clients. Prior to joining NYLAG, Ms. Sclater was the New York Program Coordinator at Pro Bono Net, a non-profit organization that develops online tools to support delivery of legal services and information to low-income individuals. Ms. Sclater has also worked as a litigation associate at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, served as a law clerk to a federal district court judge, and was a legal fellow at the National Women’s Law Center, where she worked on a variety of women’s health and reproductive rights issues. While attending NYU’s School of Law, Alison interned with NYLAG’s Domestic Violence Clinical Center. Ms. Sclater serves on the New York City Bar Association’s Pro Bono and Legal Services Committee, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Pro Bono Coordinators’ Network.
