Altagracia Pierre-Outerbridge is a Supervising Attorney in NYLAG’s Tenant’s Rights Unit.  She supervises the Manhattan Homelessness Prevention Law Project representing and advising low-income tenants in administrative proceedings, including termination of tenancy, subsidy hearings, and overcharge and reduction of services complaints, before various City agencies.  In housing court, Altagracia advises clients about their rights in nonpayment cases, holdovers and HP actions for repairs.  Altagracia also litigates Article 78s in Supreme Court.  Prior to joining NYLAG, Altagracia was a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society. Earlier, she was a housing attorney with District Council 37 Municipal Employees Legal Services and an employment attorney at CWA District 1 Legal Department. Altagracia received her undergraduate degree from Manhattan College and JD from CUNY Law School. She also has an MBA in Taxation from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
