Caprice is NYLAG’s Director of the Pro Bono and Volunteer Unit, responsible for coordinating the agency’s extensive pro bono program. Prior to joining NYLAG, Caprice was Senior Resource Counsel with the Clemency Project 2014, where she was responsible for the recruitment and training of nearly 4,000 lawyers to provide pro bono assistance to federal inmates seeking to have their sentences commuted or reduced by the President of the United States.  She is a veteran attorney with 20 years’ experience in all phases of criminal and civil litigation as well as appellate advocacy.  She has worked as a legal consultant to a variety of law firms and solo practitioners and as an associate and principal at several private firms. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law.
