Javeria is a staff attorney in the Tenants’ Rights Unit (TRU) and the Mobile Legal Help Center (MLHC).  Traveling to all five boroughs, Javeria meets with potential clients and assists them with housing law issues.  She represents low-income tenants in Housing Court and administrative proceedings.  Before joining NYLAG, she was a staff attorney at CAMBA Legal Services where she provided anti-eviction legal services to tenants, including legal advice and representation in non-payment court proceedings, holdovers, and HP Actions for Repairs.  Prior to that, Javeria was a law clerk to the Hon. J. Randall Corman, J.S.C. in New Brunswick, NJ.  As a law clerk, she worked closely with pro se litigants in filing Orders to Show Cause and other emergent applications.  Javeria is a 2014 graduate of the CUNY School of Law and a cum laude graduate of Brooklyn College.
