Javier is a staff attorney in the Tenants’ Rights Unit. He represents low-income tenants in Queens Housing Court and administrative proceedings, with a focus on preventing eviction. Prior to joining the Housing Project, Javier was a staff attorney in NYLAG’s Storm Response Unit where he focused on flood insurance appeals and Federal/State disaster relief programs. Javier received his B.A., cum laude, from Drew University. He earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where he held senior staff positions on both the Moot Court Honor Society and the New York Litigator Law Journal. Javier is admitted to practice law in New York State.
