Shari is a Supervising Attorney in NYLAG’s Tenants’ Rights Unit. She supervises the Queens Homelessness Prevention Law Project, representing low-income Queens tenants in housing court and administrative proceedings. Shari appears regularly in non-payment, holdover, and HP cases in court, and advises clients as to their rights regarding these issues. Shari also represents and advocates for clients before administrative agencies in matters such as termination of tenancy hearings. Prior to joining NYLAG, Shari worked with South Brooklyn Legal Services, the Cardozo Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic, and the Legal Aid Society. Shari received her undergraduate degree from New York University and J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
