NYLAG’s Justice at Work Project provides advice, consultations, and legal representation to low-wage workers on issues related to employment.
Cases typically involve
- Unemployment insurance
- Employment discrimination
- Wage and hour issues
Working alone and through partnerships with the private employment law bar, the Justice at Work Project has won back wages and employment reinstatement, as well as revised employer policies and practices.
The Justice at Work staff also visits schools and community groups to provide free know-your-rights training on employment law.
