Yakubova v. Chertoff: U.S.D.C., E.D.N.Y.  Class action filed in 2006 against the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) on behalf of a class of lawful permanent residents challenging unreasonable delays in the processing of their naturalization applications.  Defendants filed a motion to dismiss the case, which the Court denied.  The parties agreed to a settlement and all but a few members of the class have had their applications adjudicated.  We are advocating on behalf of the few remaining class members.  (JGS, JP)
