我們現在必須解決軍事性侵犯

兩年前,作為NYLAG的LegalHealth計劃的一部分, 我在美國開設了第一家專門為退伍軍人量身定制的法律診所。  

我的客戶勇敢而堅強。這些婦女全心全意為國家服務,她們的犧牲常常遭到虐待-我的大多數顧客在服役期間遭到性侵犯。

令人沮喪的是,就好像虐待行為還不夠,許多人收到了與他們在軍隊中遭受的性創傷有關的“其他榮譽”。或者他們遭到了報復。軍事為什麼要這樣懲罰倖存者?

我為能夠為軍事性侵犯倖存者爭取正義而奮鬥而感到非常榮幸。我與客戶合作,從提高他們的出勤到獲得VA福利到防止驅逐等一切工作。

本週,我達到了一個激動人心的里程碑:我為客戶贏得了超過$1,000,000的收益!

我只是一位律師。我在紐約州立大學洛杉磯分校的出色同事中的每一位,對確保無家可歸者獲得庇護所的通道或捍衛面臨歧視的LGBTQ工人的生命都產生了巨大影響。
